Affiliated with Master Builders South Africa (MBSA), MBAWC provides a range of services to its members, including training, legal assistance, and health and safety support, to uphold industry standards and promote professional development.
Bursary Details
- Fields of Study: The bursary is available to students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes related to the Built Environment, including but not limited to:
- Civil Engineering (BSc)
- Construction Studies (BSc)
- Construction Management (BSc Hons)
- Quantity Surveying (BSc Hons)
- Project Management (MSc)
- Other Built Environment-related fields
- Coverage: The bursary covers tuition fees only, disbursed in two installments:
- First installment upon approval of funding.
- Second installment subject to a successful mid-year performance review.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: South African citizens.
- Residency: Preference given to candidates residing in the Western Cape.
- Academic Enrollment: Currently enrolled or accepted to study at an accredited tertiary institution in the Western Cape for the 2025 academic year.
- Field of Study: Pursuing a qualification in the Built Environment disciplines.
- Financial Status: Applicants should not qualify for NSFAS funding (household income exceeding R350,000 per annum) and should not be receiving any other bursary or financial support from SETA/CETA.
- Affiliation: Preference will be given to employees of MBAWC member companies or their immediate family members.
