Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of Safety Systems, Regulations and Standards with high regard to safety and an excellent safety record
  • Minimum Grade 12 with Maths and Physics or
  • N2/N3 Technical qualification with relevant subjects i.e.:
    • Fitter (Maths, Science, Engineering Drawing, Fitting and Machining Trade theory)
    • Boilermaker/Plater (Maths, Science, Plater Theory, Plater Structural Steel Drawing),
    • Electricians (Maths, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Theory)
    • Diesel mechanic (Maths, Science, Engineering Drawing, Diesel Trade Theory)
    • Instrument Mechanicians (Maths, Science, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation Theory)
  • A valid K53 drivers license without endorsements
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in the underground mining environment will be advantageous
  • Must have or able to obtain a certificate of fitness
  • Must be able and willing to work shifts, standby and call outs when required
  • Be able to cope with pressure, be innovative | a self-starter
  • Be able to identify faults without supervision
