AgriSETA Bursary South Africa 2019 – 2020
ABOUT THE COMPANY – AGRISETA
The Agricultural Sector Education and Training Authority (AgriSETA) create opportunities within agri-enterprises via education, training and development. They are responsible for the agricultural workforce’s skills development, by facilitating Skills Programmes; Learnerships; Adult Education and Training; in-service training; grants and bursaries.
The AgriSETA are also responsible for accrediting training providers and monitoring their training standards, to ensure a high level of quality education and training.
ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE
The AgriSETA Bursary was founded to financially assist students within the Agricultural industry to pursue their tertiary studies. Each year, bursaries are awarded to student within the Agriculturalsector, specifically the following fields of study:
- Agricultural Farm Manager
- Agricultural Scientist
- Veterinary
The bursary will be to a maximum value of R39 750 per annum for undergraduate students and R63 600 for postgraduate students, and should be used to pay for tuition fees and textbooks.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying full time or part time towards an Agriculture related qualification (Diploma/ Degree/ Certificate)
- Studying at a University/ University of Technology/ College
- Wish to pursue a career in agriculture
- Excellent academic results
- In financial need
- NOT currently receiving funding from any other Government sources
- *Preference will be given to students studying towards a qualification in the “scarce/ critical skills” sector within the agricultural field

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Latest statement of results or progress report
- Full academic record to date
- 2018 exam results
- Proof of admission to study at a tertiary institute
- Tax Clearance Certificate
- Tax Compliance Status Verification PIN
