Dependents of employees of Gold Fields, its associated companies, or Trustees of the South Deep Education and Community Trusts are not eligible.
Academic Requirements:
- Current Matric students (class of 2024) or those who have completed Matric in previous years.
- Applicants must have applied to or been conditionally accepted at a public university or TVET college in South Africa for the 2025 academic year.
Academic Performance:
- Matriculants: A minimum average of 75% (excluding Life Orientation).
- Current tertiary students: A minimum average of 65% in their latest academic year.
No Existing Funding:
Students receiving other bursaries, scholarships, or financial aid are not eligible to apply.

The SDET Bursary is a full-coverage program that addresses multiple aspects of educational expenses, including:

Tuition Fees: 100% coverage for the duration of the study program.
Study Materials: Textbooks and specialized equipment for relevant qualifications.
