ETDP SETA Teacher Bursary South Africa

 ETDP SETA Teacher Bursary

Apply for a teacher bursary through ETDP SETA or the Funza Lushaka Bursary Programme and you could be on your way to qualifying as a teacher. The Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP SETA) is one of 23 SETAs established as a result of the Skills Development Act. The main purpose of the SETAs is to address skills shortages in South Africa by identifying the skills needs of specific industries and sectors, to be a conduit to up-skilling both employed and unemployed citizens, to assess and monitor their progress and ensure that they successfully complete their programmes and are certified as competent to compete in the workplace and find suitable employment.

The ETDP SETA focuses on the Education, Training and Development (ETD) sector and promotes and facilitates skills development in this sector and achieves its goals through a number of different skills development interventions including bursaries, amongst others. There are a number of bursaries available for learners who have successfully completed Grade 12 and wish to pursue a career in the ETD sector. If this describes you, please apply to the ETDP SETA and the Department of Education or enquire about other funding schemes.
