Head cooks, executive chefs and chefs de cuisine oversee the operations of the entire kitchen, they also coordinate the work of their sous chefs and other cooks who prepare most meals.
The average annual salary for a Head Chef is around R144 000 per annum, while a Sous Chef earns around R118 000 per annum and an Executive Chef around R285 000 per annum.
