SANSA Volunteer and Trainees Programme 2025: Launch Your Career in Space Science
The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) is inviting applications for its Volunteer and Trainees Programme for 2025. This initiative offers graduates and final-year students the opportunity to gain practical experience in various fields related to space science and technology.
Programme Overview
SANSA’s Volunteer and Trainees Programme is a 12-month contract appointment designed to provide hands-on experience through mentoring and coaching. Participants will receive a monthly travel allowance of R2,000 to cover commuting expenses to SANSA offices during their placement.
Available Positions
The programme offers opportunities in the following areas:
- Finance Volunteer (Pretoria x2)
- Duties:
- Verify goods received (quantity and price).
- Capture goods received in SAGE X3 and match invoices to purchase orders.
- Record bank transactions and prepare weekly reconciliations.
- Conduct physical asset verification and assess conditions.
- Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Financial Accounting or related field (completed or final-year studies).

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these opportunities, candidates must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Be 35 years of age or younger.

Application Process

The application closing date varies from 1 February 2025 – March 2025. If no communication is received within four weeks post-application, consider the application unsuccessful.
Successful applicants will spend a full year (April 2025 to May 2026)
