ABOUT THE COMPANY – LIMPOPO DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, ENVIRONMENT AND TOURISM

 
The Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment | Tourism (LEDET) is responsible for assisting in the promotion of economic development and growth, as well as the promotion of investment, tourism and sustainable use of the environment within the Limpopo province.
 

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED | COVERAGE VALUE

The LEDET will be awarding bursaries within the following fields of study:

  • Botany/ Zoology/ Ecology (BSc)
  • Ecotourism/ Tourism Heritage | Culture (BCom/ BTech/ National Diploma)
  • Chemical/ Physical | Process Metallurgy (Bachelor/ National Diploma)
  • Material Engineering (Non-Destructive Testing Technician – NDTT) (National Diploma)

The bursary will cover the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, meals and accommodation.
 

 

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted – if you have not received any feedback within 8 weeks of the application deadline, regard your application unsuccessful.
 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Reside within the Limpopo province
  • From a previously disadvantaged rural area
  • Completed Matric OR currently in Matric
  • Achieved a Bachelor’s degree pass in Matric
  • Studying or plan to study full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate, if completed Matric (certified copy)
  • Matric mid year results, if currently in Matric (certified copy)
  • Full academic record, if currently at university (certified copy)
  • University acceptance letter
  • Parents/ guardians proof of income (certified copy)
